Once thought of as a sleepy little farm town, Gilbert has over the past few years seen explosive growth.  In fact for several years it was the fastest growing town in the nation!  But, as the well preserved downtown Gilbert area shows the residents of Gilbert do not want it to lose its small town charm and flavor.  Downtown Gilbert has been revitalized and now features some of the best restaurants in town as well as Halle Theatre that provides top-notch entertainment.
