Tempe, AZ is probably most famous for being home to Arizona State University.  While it is obvious that Tempe is a college town it is also so much more.  With the recent addition of Tempe Town Lake, Tempe is a frequent host to arts and crafts fairs, concerts, and festivals.  Tempe's Gammage Theater provides a wonderful setting for plays and concerts.  Tempe is also home to the Phoenix Zoo which features Zoo Lights - a fun holiday tradition.  Also, within Papago Park is the Desert Botanical Gardens which is also home to many special events.  Tempe Marketplace is a new outdoor mall with upbeat dining and entertainment.  Without a doubt no visit to Tempe would be complete without a visit to Mill Avenue, a bustling street with bordered by "A Mountain".
