Del Norte Place is a neighborhood in Phoenix that was developed by Dr. James Collier Norton and opened to the public in  1927. The neighborhood was designed to embody the English Cottage style, offering a unique architectural aesthetic. As development progressed, Del Norte Place became surrounded by park greenbelts on three sides, enhancing its natural beauty and creating a sense of enclosure.

In addition to the English Cottage-style homes, later construction in Del Norte Place showcased Ranch and Period Revival architectural styles. These varied designs added to the neighborhood’s charm and diversity. Dr. Norton took pride in creating a “beautiful subdivision” that would appeal to residents and showcase the unique architecture found within.

Del Norte Place continues to be an attractive residential area in Phoenix, known for its distinct architectural character and the surrounding park greenbelts.
